Relic Hunting In Karelia
Nights of Coins & Relics
After I dug up a few not so good signals, fragments of iron tools, I decided to focus only on the solid signals and quickly determine where the oldest coins and relics were located in the field. Otherwise, if I had more time to "hammer" this site, I would search each quadrant to the last signal, digging lots of junk but, at the same time, getting all the deepest and valuable targets available.
I moved to the third quadrant and continued digging up coins of the same assortment: Swedish coins of the 17th century and Russian Imperial coinage of the 18th and 19th centuries.
