Treasure Hunting Medieval Site East of Dnieper River
After examining my find, I realized that I dug up a gold medallion.

It certainly was not a modern one. Determining the possible date of this find was out of question because the medallion's surface was completely worn out. I could not read the other side, nor unbend the medallion. The only clue of its age I could get from the other finds recovered in close proximity.

While I was examining my gold find, Dima came over and informed me of his readiness to go home. Him and his cousin found a couple of musketballs. We would be back at this spot tomorrow morning.
Finds of the Day

When we arrived to Sergei's summer house, we cooked a dinner and celebrated our productive day of metal detecting with vodka: we found both the ancient silver and old gold!
