I use a pill or a medical "sample container" that could fit even a coin of a dollar size. I fill the container with cotton balls, so the coins would not move and scratch each other inside. I always keep this container in my finds pouch.
If I expect to dig up valuable coins, I use a coin container with many individually detachable compartments.
This is another important item used in the field. To determine the age of the metal detecting site, it is important to determine the age of coins and relics. That is when the magnifying glass comes in handy!
