I am not new to detecting but returning after some time away. I bought the X-Terra intrepid on others reviews. This machine has reasonable build quality, simple controls and is easy to set up but it gives all kind of spurious and false signals?! Dug up half my back lawn chasing nothing, it was continually giving me multiple signals for no reason, complete waste of time. So why have I just spent 85 on a new machine that does not really seem to work and is not telling me the truth? Got out an old 1970 C-Scope machine that used to belong to my father. It still worked and found 2 strong signals, pin-pointed exactly. One was a toy car from 1960s and the other a nail, but hey, there was at least something really there. I cannot vouch for the X-Terra intrepid. Perhaps I will buy a new C-Scope instead!
