Very Deep Coin Finder
by Gerard G. Scotland in Airdrie -
I have used this detector alongside with my two Minelabs. It basically matches them both and in some cases outperforms them especially for recovery speed as my Minelabs tend to be a bit slower. The Golden Mask 1 UK Editiion is the one I use as I reside in Scotland. What I will also say is that I have noticed that this Golden Mask seems to be fantastic at finding small silver coins at great depths, deeper than my Explorers and that is saying a lot. It is also a very light and easy to use turn on and go machine with no bells and whistles. It only has two tones, low for garbage and high for good targets. Where my Minelab beats it is in the discrimination of Hot Rocks. The Golden mask will pick them up as good targets but with a slight wobble on the tone whereas the Explorers will totally ignore them which is a win to the explorers. This detector however can be purchased for a lot lower price than a Minelab so that is a win to Golden Mask. The Golden Mask UK Edition is a great machine for the money and it will winkle out the deep coins in tough conditions every time. It is very easy and light to swing all day unlike other machines. I would highly recommend this machine. Just listen out for the hot rocks with the slightly wobbly sound after the tone and you will do really well with it.

GM1 UK edition
by Rob Owen 8 in UK ENgland -
Got this for 140 as new. Wireless headphones and rechargeable batteries. Has a carbn fibre stem and appears quality. I was astounded by the depth of this machine. I have had equinox 800 and an XP250 which are serious machines. This little beauty got as deep as them. It is a two tone machine so you need to get used to hearing the iron tone. It is a turn on and go machine so great for beginners. But as a well honed detectorist I can tell you would not grow tired of this machine. It did seem to like hot rocks though. So if your land has lots of them maybe go for another one.
