June 30, 2009:
Added a new exciting story, Discovery of a Huge Hoard of the 16th Century Silver Hammered Coins, which describes the process of locating, pinpointing and retrieving a coin cache of a large size in the field. Also the story includes the descriptions of a few "wire money" varieties of which the cache consisted and the brief numismatic history of the "wire money"; 160 photographs.
May 6, 2009:
Added a new article, Detecting Meteorites, which includes information on types of meteorites, areas for meteorite hunting, detectors used for this task, vdi readings for meteorites and the method of distinguishing meteorites from the iron pieces - a tutorial.
April 21, 2009:
Added 8 more pages and 40 new pictures to the story, WWII Relic Hunting in Estonia, which is now revised and corrected, and includes a description of an unusual and unique WW2 artifact which I had a chance to touch at the museum in Sillamäe, Estonia.
April 16, 2009:
Added a new story, Metal Detecting Raid in Ivanovo Region (Story 16), which covers a 3-day metal detecting outing, a raid through various locations, with a group of 14 treasure hunters in Ivanovo region of Central Russia.
February 8, 2009:
Added a new story, Detecting with Rodney in Upstate New York (Story 7), which covers three metal detecting outings that I did with my old friend Rodney in the eastern and central New York state in 2006 and 2008.
January 24, 2009:
Added two articles, "Halo Effect and Disappearance of a Good Signal" and "Conductive Order of Metals" to the 'Useful Articles' section. I also posted a Glossary of Metal Detecting Terms.
January 22, 2009:
Finally added another article of mine, "Searching The Obvious", which was published in the "Lost Treasure " magazine, on page 26, in December 1998, to the 'Useful Articles' section.
