The best way to go was to start undermining the wall at the bottom of the prospecting pit. With each dig, the fallen dirt was heavily mixed with coins. I tried to pick as many coins as possible from each pile, but unexpectedly there were too many coins to handle. To speed up the process of retrieving the hoard, I began transferring some of the dirt out of the hole and onto Misha's tarpaulin.
