Cache Hunting - Discovering A Hoard of Silver Hammered Coins (Story 14)
By now I had dug up 14 hammered silver coins, plus the first two hammereds previously found by Misha. By looking at the coins' designs, I could tell that they were all minted during the reign of the Tsar Ivan IV Vasiljevich from 1533 to 1584. The Livonian War (1558-1583) between Sweden and Russia also fell within that time period.

But those were not all the coins from the "hot" spot. The previous picture was taken just for the sake of picture taking, before the daylight would be completely gone. Within next 20 minutes, I recovered four more hammereds.
