James Ray in p\'cola fl - best
I bought the unit as a carry machine in my Pathfinder, for sites I want to check out when I'm out.
I have been detecting since 1993 and have Fisher CZ's Tek T2 and Gamma 6000, etc. Well, the Tek Alpha is quite the surprise. The depth is on par with the more costly machines, and the response time and separation are very fast. I would recommend this machine above say a Compadre that has a single tone and is not as deep as the Alpha.
This unit has many features for the $.
